The Morris Lady Eagle fastpitch softball team saw their dreams of a district championship fade away on Wednesday afternoon at the Morris high school softball field. The Lady Eagles, who began the week with a sweep of their arch rivals, the Henryetta Lady Knights, to sit in a tie for third in the 3A-7 district standings with their county foes, fell behind early and were unable to overcome the deficit, falling to the visiting Lady Haymakers by a 7-3 margin.
