Okmulgee Main Street staff and members, including Andy Goodnight, started working on the artwork coming to downtown on Monday. The mural, ‘Bee the Change,’ will be located on the north side of the Norman’s Dry Cleaning building. ‘Bee the Change’ is a honeycomb mural that begins with a custom design by a local artist. Okmulgee Main Street is giving the community the chance to be part of this project by signing up to paint a spot on the honeycomb. If you wish to paint one of the spaces, which are $25, stop by the Okmulgee Main Street office at 100 E. 6th Street The mural’s bottom half will be completed on Saturday. Downtown will be busy with the Harvest Spoon Chili Fest which will begin at 11 a.m. CONNIE HARJO
