Tuesday’s Okmulgee Lions Club meeting was one of the more unusual programs we’ve experienced in quite some time - axe-throwing. The program was presented by Gene Barber, owner of Lumberjack Attack, soon to be open in the former M&D Drug building in downtown Okmulgee. The Lions had to use their imagination to visualize the axe throwing because there was a lot of concern about setting up a lane to actually throw an axe in church.
