Residents Attend Vet Luncheon at Langston

The Annual Fred Gragg Veterans Appreciation Luncheon was held Saturday, Nov. 6, in Langston. Mrs. Archietta Burch James, Author of ”Francis Clinton: A Buffalo Soldier, and American Hero” was the guest speaker for the event. James is the wife of Clarence James, Jr., formerly of Okmulgee. Attending from Okmulgee was Mrs. Rae Ann Wilson, aunt of the speaker. Veterans and guests were treated to a fabulous meal and a soul-stirring presentation by the author. Pictured are Rae Ann Wilson, Archietta Burch James and Yolanda Carter.
