A warning to readers: this column contains graphic details. Oklahoma inmate John Grant was executed at 4:21 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28. On Nov. 13, 1998, Grant, serving time for armed robbery, fatally stabbed 58-year-old Kitchen Supervisor Gay Carter with a sharpened screwdriver at the Dick Conner Correctional Center in Hominy.
