Lewis Presented Legend Award

Okmulgee native Leman Lewis is presented the Legend Award by Sharon Ray in a special presentation Saturday afternoon at the Dunbar Learning Center. The award is for Lewis’ work on preserving the history of the Okmulgee Black Hospital, now known as the Landmark for All Generations, Inc. Following the presentation, the Legacy R Us team visited the old hospital. Legacy R Us is dedicated to preserving history throughout Oklahoma. A west coast division was launched earlier this year.
