Though the Jan. 2022 jury term at the Okmulgee County Courthouse had to be cancelled due to pandemic-related issues, that does not mean the wheels of justice have stopped turning. A total of nine criminal cases were disposed of that were scheduled for trial on the January docket. Since jury terms resumed in June 2021, 54 felony and misdemeanor cases set for jury trials have been resolved through pleas by the defendants.
