Federal jury convicts Okemah man of murder
An Okemah man has been convicted on federal murder charges. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, announced Tuesday that Elijah Dewayne Hicks, age 22, was found guilty by a federal jury of Murder in Indian Country; Use, Carry, Brandish, and Discharge of a Firearm During and in Relation to a Crime of Violence; and Causing the Death of a Person in the Course of a Violation of Title 18 United States Code § 924(c).
