Okmulgee Students Visit Community Garden

Fourth graders from Okmulgee Primary School were treated to a visit to the Okmulgee Community Garden on the final day of School Wednesday. The Garden members gave a tour to the students who were able to learn about the garden plots and herb bed, the greenhouse, and even bees. Above, Garden member Janis Watkins shows students what a beehive looks like inside (empty). Students were allowed to take a strawberry out of one of the patches, and received a treat as they left.
