Library Book Sale | The Friends of the Okmulgee Public Library continues their book sale from June 15-18. All books are $1 or less. Book sale hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 1-7:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-5:30 p.m., Fridays from 1-4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8-11:30 a.m.

Pecan Festival | The 2022 Pecan Festival will take place June 16-18 in downtown Okmulgee. Enjoy fun, food, rides and more during this 3-day event.

Okmulgee Farmers Market | The Okmulgee Farmers Market is open each Friday through October from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the Creek Council House in downtown Okmulgee.
Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Fish Fry Fundraiser | Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church will hold a Fish Fry Fridays Fundraiser from June 3 - July 15. The dinners will include fresh fish, french fries, frybread and dessert for $8. Please preorder the Wednesday before by calling or texting 918-756-6553 or 918-210-6500. The event is carryout only, and pickup will take place at the church, located at 1500 N. Miami Ave. in Okmulgee.

FBC South 12th Annual Car Show | First Baptist Church South of Beggs will hold its 12th Annual Car Show Saturday, June 18, at 11 a.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. The awards presentation will be held at 2:30 p.m. Trophies will be presented to the top 50 cars and trucks, top 5 motorcycles and 11 special awards. The event will feature barbecue, a fish fry, desserts and refreshments. Everyone is invited and the event is free to the viewing public. The church is on Hwy 16, three miles west of Hwy 75. Muscogee Nation Festival | The Muscogee Nation Festival will take place June 23-26 at the Claude Cox Omniplex and will be filled with activites celebrating the Muscogee people. The celebration will include cultural exhibitions, sports tournaments, concerts, arts & crafts, food, carnival rides, a parade and more. All activities are free and open to the public.

Eagle Open Golf Tournament | The first Eagle Open Golf Tournament will take place Saturday, July 16, at 10 a.m. at the Henryetta Golf Club. The event will include lots of prizes and fun, and will featured 4-person scramble, at $100 per person or $400 per team. Proceeds will benefit the Morris Booster Club in support of Morris Athletics. Fostering Hope | Fostering Hope Okmulgee will not meet during the summer, but will restart the local foster care and adoption support group the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. starting September. Okmulgee Fireworks Permits | The City of Okmulgee is offering permits for shooting off fireworks inside city limits for $20. Apply for a permit online at www.okmulgeeonline.com or by calling 918-758-1105. You must be 18 years of age or older to apply. You may start applying on June 15 and, if approved, must pay by July 1 by no later than 4 p.m. This permit will only be valid July 3-5, and absolutely no permits will be issued after this date and time.
