The Okmulgee Lions Club was at it again Sunday, Aug.28, from 4-6 p.m. providing free eye screening for over 40 youth. This event was held downtown at Tavern 56 as part of the Back to School Bash. A big thank you to P.J. for the use of the facility to host this event. Those assisting were Beth Flud, Duaine Janzen, Ron Martin, Dale and Connie Fillmore, Dan Anderson and Dr. Ed Osborn. The Lions of Oklahoma have begun their annual Cowboy Cadillac campaign, a statewide fundraising raffle, offering a grand prize Ford F-150 Crew-Cab Truck or $20,000 cash. A donation of $5 per ticket is requested and the drawing will be held Nov. 12 in McAlester. Contact any Okmulgee Lion for a ticket.
