The Okmulgee Lions Club is launching a new program of honoring one boy and one girl high school student of the month to attend a regular Tuesday noon meeting. The students are selected by the school and coordinated through Lion Beth Flud, retired teacher and State-Championship winning girls basketball coach. The February students of the month are Leaundre Delonia and Tanelly Mojica. The students were presented by new Okmulgee High School Principal Joanna Lobaugh, who has 27 years of experience as an educator, and 15 years as a principal. A special guest was Scott Bevan, Okmulgee High School teacher, and part of the aviation program through the local school.
