An Agreement between the City of Okmulgee and the District 25, Okmulgee/McIntosh County District Attorney Office was approved during Tuesday’s meeting of the Okmulgee City Council. This item was brought forward for the council’s consideration after it was determined the original agreements should have been approved by the board. The District 25 Violent Task Force was created in 2015 by local law enforcement agencies. Since then, the Task Force has assisted almost every member agency in a total of 96 violent crime investigations, including 44 homicides. The primary purpose of the Task Force is to investigate, prosecute and deter violent crimes within the district.
