On Falling Down
Recently, I underwent full-knee replacement surgery. This was my second knee to be replaced, so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. I understood there would be pain and the physical therapy, even though painful, would be necessary for good use of my limb afterwards. Therefore, the moment I woke up from the anesthesia, I started moving my feet in the toes up, toes down movements that increase the blood flow in your leg.
