Preston 4-H and the Muscogee Nation Conservation District worked together March 25 to help make a grand opening to the Okmulgee Walmart Garden Center Season. On hand were leaders Julie Norem and Lorena Ballard, volunteers Vickie Stovall, Muriel Siegenthaler and Jake the dog; 4-H members Natalie Norem, Felix and Allen LeBlanc, and Tish LeBlanc, as well as the Easter Bunny. Customers were taught about all things in conservation, aquaponics, planting and making wildflower seed bombs for the garden, and 4-H. Customers took home free wild seed flower bombs to plant in their gardens and got to take photos with the Easter Bunny and his friend, Rosie the rabbit. If you have any questions about how to make wildflower seed bombs, contact the Okmulgee OSU Extension office and they will get you in contact with the Preston 4-H leaders.
