“Understanding the past helps move us to build on the present,” Mayor Mickey Baldwin who serves at Cornerstone Foursquare as Lead Pastor, said. “The community- wide Prayer Gathering that took place this past Tuesday night on the north sidewalk of Council House Square was widely attended by ministers and citizens from more than 12 churches. The prayer focus was to ask Father to bring healing to our community and push back against the violence and recent shootings that have sprung up these few weeks. As we prayed according to Ephesians 6:12-13, that our fight is not against flesh and blood, but the unseen world - we found that our prayer approach shifted towards living out the attributes of Jesus Christ. Prayers for genuine love for our neighbors to rise-up along with greater kindness to be expressed in our community.”
