Summer meal program announced

Free lunch distribution planned at two locations

Children in the Okmulgee area will be able to receive free lunch this summer at two locations.

The Okmulgee Summer Meals Program will begin on Monday for all children 1-18 years of age. According to Okmulgee Schools Child Nutrition Director Chef Jim Price, no application is needed, but all meals must be eaten on-site.

Locations for the food delivery will be:

• Okmulgee YMCA, 106 West 13th St.

• Hawthorne Park, N. Okmulgee Ave. & W. Fairfax The dates for pickup are Monday – Friday, May 22 – June 23.

The Okmulgee YMCA pickup times are from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. and the Hawthorne Park pick up times are 12:30-1:15 p.m. Both locations will be closed May 29 for Memorial Day.
