Another Okmulgee County school district will have therapy animals, after the Henryetta School board approved the program during their meeting Monday. HES Counselor Jennifer Huckabay addressed the school board, and was joined by Morris Schools’ Kelli Baker, Lisa Merrill, Kalani and Shadow. Mace has been donated to Henryetta Schools for their program, and was set to be picked up Tuesday in Arkansas. Helping kick off the support for the program with a donation was First Family Federal Credit Union representative Ashley Morris, who presented a $1,000 check to the program. David Dykes and First Family FCU was also the first community supporter for the Morris Schools Therapy Dog program. Okmulgee Schools also have a therapy dog-in training, Leo.
