On Sept. 18, the Okmulgee County Democratic Party hosted the MN tribal opioid response team. “First of all, a huge thank you to the Muscogee Nation for providing this incredibly valuable information and training,” Chair Rose Lynch said. “We learned about the issues of fentanyl overdoses in our county, which according to emergency services are increasing, and are at a critical point for our county residents. We learned what to recognize in a fentanyl overdose as well as the benefits of narcan and how to stop or at least hinder the overdose until EMSA arrives. Our hope and desire as Democrats is that our community continues to engage with each other and to learn valuable information that will help all citizens in our community.” Pictured with the MN tribal opioid response team are Rick Sturman, Rosetta Hortman, Okmulgee County Democratic Party Chair Rose Lynch, and Chair Emeritus Tom Taton.
