Sometimes when we come to mass, Jesus’ words are a bit enigmatic. You may struggle to understand what it is he’s saying to us. Last week’s gospel, perhaps, was an illustration of that. If you remember, he pays the people who come last the same exact amount as he paid the people who came first. We’re sitting there, scratching our heads, wondering why he would do that.
