The Okmulgee Times is excited to announce the return of the Cookie Crawl, in conjunction with Okmulgee Main Street and Small Business Saturday, Nov. 25.
“Last year, the event was a great success with lots of customers taking part in the event, along with support from local businesses,” Katina Holland of the Okmulgee Times said.
How does the Cookie Crawl work?
First, participating businesses will be announced in the Friday, Nov. 24 edition of the Okmulgee Times. Then, customers can stop by the Okmulgee Times office at 320 W. 6th St. on Saturday morning, Nov. 25, to get their official “Cookie Crawl” box.
Then, shop to your heart’s content – stop by each business location on the list to collect a cookie (one cookie per participant per location), Holland stated.
“By the end of your shopping day, you will have a box full of unique cookies, and will have met some of our amazing busi- ness owners along the way,” she said.
“Shopping local is so important to our town in many ways, especially during the holiday season. We think this will be an added bonus to help encourage customers to stay here for their shopping needs.”
If you wish to participate as a business, please call the office at 918756-3600 and ask for Katina. If you want to participate as a consumer, keep your eye on the newspaper and the Okmulgee Times Facebook page for more details, and be prepared to shop in town on Shop Small Saturday!
