Schools across the area recognized our Okmulgee County veterans last week with various assemblies and events. Pictured above, veterans attended Preston Schools’ program at the Jim Waller Event Center and were treated to lunch. Pictured bottom left is Okmulgee FFA’s Wall of Honor, recognizing alumni, staff and students’ family members who have served in the military. Bottom right, OSUIT celebrated our nation’s heroes in solemn reflection and gratitude by placing flags on the campus lawn, each bearing the name of a loved one who has served.
