Mary Ellen Southwick went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 5, 2023, at the age of 79. She was born October 30, 1944, in Okemah to Edward and Gladys Pelky. Mary was an RNA at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital and a homemaker. A wonderful, loving wife to Harold Southwick, whom she had been married to for 54 years.
She is survived by her husband Harold; her son, Gregory Southwick

and wife Melissa and their children Nicholas Rhodes, Elisabeth Southwick, Noah Southwick, and Rachel Southwick. One great-granddaughter Bella Endres. Her brothers Edward Pelky and wife Carolyn, and Christopher Pelky and his wife Elizabeth.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Miles Wayne Pelky.
Her life was her family. She was a devoted servant of God, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Visitation will be held at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 3-5 p.m., with viewing from 1-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 11, 2023, at Second Baptist Church in Okmulgee at 2 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery in Okemah.
