Chief Joe Prentice provided the following information after requests for comments made last week that stated Okmulgee Police refused to respond to a request by Muscogee Nation Lighthorse Police.

“I was not in the office Monday, but the facts that have been related to me are that Dispatch advised of a request, by Lighthorse Police, to respond to 2nd and Alabama. The shift commander on duty advised dispatch that all units were “10/6,” which means they were occupied performing other duties and they would not be able to respond at that time. I have been advised that they did not receive any later requests.”
