Another successful Pancake Day fundraiser for the Okmulgee Lions Club was held this week. A big thanks to the community for their support, the Presbyterian Church for the use of the facilities as always and the many Okmulgee Lions who volunteered in all aspects of the event. Among those pictured assisting early in the morning and welcoming those attending included Duaine Janzen, Tim Craighton, President Mike Morrison, seen chatting with members of the Okmulgee Fire Department; Kelly Baehler, Beth Flud, Larry Howell ... too many to even name! But it was lots of hard work, but for a worthy cause. The Okmulgee Lions are seeking new members and are planning an evening get together the third Tuesday of each month. Regular meetings are held each Tuesday at noon at Trinity Lutheran Church. See the front page article about upcoming special meetings to inform the public about the Lions Club.
