My dad was raised on a farm. Even though he moved to California during WWII and worked in factories the rest of his life, being a farmer never got out of his system. When we finally moved to a house that had a big back yard, he planted a peach tree, a dwarf lemon tree (which never got bigger than a nice bush size, but really put out the lemons), and a vegetable garden patch.
