Red Dirt Reptiles kicked off the Okmulgee Public Library’s Summer Reading Program Wednesday with a great turnout. Red Dirt Reptiles of Glenpool brought a variety of animals, with each of the attendees able to see and learn about these creatures first hand. Each attendee received a book log inside their bags today. If they return them next week, they will get a small prize and be in a raffle for an even bigger prize. Next week’s special guest is Buckaroo Bart and his rope show. The library will be closed Wednesday, June 19, due to the holiday. There is still time to join by contacting the Okmulgee Public Library at 918-756-1448. Sessions are held at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesdays for ages 5-12. Visit the Friends of the Okmulgee Public Library Facebook page for more information.
