Overwhelmed
Growing up in Southern California meant that the beach was part of our lives. I can remember going to the beach when quite young. The beach we went to had a barrier - a breakwater built to knock down the waves. There were still waves, but they weren’t the large thunderous type anymore, so it was safer for us little ones. However, the waves were still frightening to us youngsters.
