Newspapers kick off drive to replace stolen flags
In the last few days, about 22 flags that were used to adorn 6th Street were taken, according to VFW Post 1189 Commander Guy Duckworth. There were approximately 35 flags that were being left up until the 4th of July holiday. A police report was filed, and a plea was issued to the community for any help in solving the crime.
