The Lions Club was treated with an excellent program provided by Tina Nail and Andy Goodnight from “Wonderfully Made Therapy Group Pediatric Therapy.” They are located at 1223 East 6th Street in Okmulgee. They renovated the Old Ray’s Hardware building into a special place for Pediatric Therapy.
Tina and Andy had been educators and felt that there was a need for pediatric therapy and so took a leap of faith to make it happen. Tina shared, “One day, Andy said the building was bought, so the work began and the journey started!” They only thought there was a need but saw soon there actually was a GREAT need in our community and surrounding area for this service for children and parents! For example, at the end of one year, they had over 100 kids and 5 therapists at work. They are now seeing over 300 families a week!
Andy detailed the types of therapy provided: -Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy, provided for children from 0-18 years of age. They are in 10 school districts and take referrals from doctors, DHS etc.
Tina expressed her gratitude to the Okmulgee community for embracing their business!
A good story from a young boy early on following therapy he asked “…. can I spend the night…!” Kind of validates the dream they had about this journey!
Their brochure states “They provide evidence-based classroom support for teachers and paraprofessionals and help families meet their child’s individual educational Plan.”
Listening to Tina and Andy talk about their clinic you can feel their love and spirit that they have for this WONDERFULLY BUILT service.
