At the Rowe Center, Chef Rene and members of the Okmulgee Community Garden hosted a delightful cooking demonstration, showcasing the vibrant flavors of fresh, seasonal vegetables, including some produce straight from the community garden. Chef Rene crafted mouthwatering dishes including vegetable soup, ratatouille, tomatoes provençale and sautéed vegetables. Participants also enjoyed tasting juicy watermelon and other delicious fruits. This event was part of the YMCA Summer GO Program, providing an enriching culinary experience for the youth of the surrounding area.
