Welcome Rodeo Fans
Rodeo participants, spectators and fans are flocking into Okmulgee this weekend as the 69th annual Roy LeBlanc Okmulgee Invitational Rodeo opens this evening. The event is the nation’s oldest and largest African-American rodeo, and one of the state’s longest running events. A highlight of the event is the annual parade Saturday at 4 p.m. through the streets of downtown Okmulgee. The rodeo opens at 7:30 p.m. with Mutton Bustin’ followed by the grand entry at 8 p.m.
