Just this week, I heard our local H.S. Football Coach speak of the poor conditions he arose from and the similar conditions of many of his players. He also mentioned that someone was gracious enough that they bought over $400.00 worth of groceries for the team. He continued by saying that some of the players who showed up for practice this summer were doing so because there was food for them there. The coach encouraged them to eat, just don’t waste - don’t take more than you can actually eat.
