The parishioners of Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church have begun preparation for a “Soul’icious Ham and Bean Dinner,” a benefit fundraiser this Friday. Proceeds will go toward a centennial celebration. Uganda Martyrs will celebrate 100 years of existence in June 2025. For those wishing to get a taste of their wonderful beans, the dinner will be held at Uganda Martyrs Church Activity Center, 3rd and Choctaw, on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The meal will include a bountiful serving of ham ‘n beans (secret seasonings), creamy coleslaw, cornbread, beverage and dessert for $10. Dine-in, takeout and delivery will be available for orders of five or more.
