Erik Sean Strain passed away on October 20, 2024, in Tulsa He was born December 22, 1975, in DeQueen, Ark.
Erik graduated from Okmulgee High School with the class of 1994. He attended Oklahoma State University and Langston University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Erik worked as a probation officer with Tulsa County for a number of years.
Erik is preceded in death by his father Dan M. Strain; brother Ted Michael Strain; grandparents Rev. and Mrs. Isaac James and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Strain.
He is survived by his mother Cledith Harding of the home; sister Shanon Strain of Ardmore, Kandace Kimmel of Prescott, Ark.; brother Kevin Cox of Prescott, Ark.; biological father Kerry Cook of Saratoga, Ark.; four nephews, three nieces, aunt Evelyn Tims of Oklahoma City; his four-legged babies Lucy and Tanchi and many December 22, 1975 – October 20, 2024
more relatives. He will be greatly missed by his friends and those that knew him.
Erik looked forward to Tuesdays where he had a permanent tee time to play golf.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Kulli-Chito United Methodist Cemetery in Broken Bow, with Minister Kim Samuels officiating. Pallbearers will be Ashton English, Dennis James, Jason Stanley, Garret James and Charles Forbit.
