In an exciting moment for Dewar High School, senior Aidan Tomlinson officially signed his National Letter of Intent to play baseball at the University of Oklahoma on Nov. 13. The ceremony took place in the Dewar Gymnasium, where Tomlinson was joined by his family, friends, and the entire Dewar Schools student body. Superintendent and Coach Josh Kilhoffer commended Tomlinson’s accomplishments and wished him success as he joins one of the premier college baseball programs.
Standing at an impressive 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds, Tomlinson is ranked as one of the top 10 prospects in Oklahoma’s 2025 class. A dual threat on the field, he has been recognized for his powerful right-handed pitching and his potential at the plate. Prep Baseball Report and Perfect Game USA have praised Tomlinson’s recent development, particularly his increased fastball speed, now clocked in the low-90s with explosive hand speed. His performance at the 2024 Pre-Season All-State event earned him recognition as a two-way prospect to watch.
On the mound, Tomlinson displays a strong repertoire, including a fastball that has reached 93 mph, a sweeping breaking ball, and an effective changeup with up to 19 inches of horizontal movement. With his athleticism, quick delivery, and commanding presence, he consistently keeps batters off-balance. Offensively, his natural leverage generates powerful exit velocities, making him a formidable hitter as well.
Tomlinson is the only pitcher among Oklahoma’s top 10 prospects who has committed to OU, a testament to his unique skills and the promise he brings to the Sooners.
Dewar Dragons baseball is looking forward to an exciting spring season just around the corner.
