The Jim Waller Event Center is set to come alive this Friday night as the Pirates and Lady Pirates tip off in their first home game of the season. Both teams will face the Fairland Owls, with the action beginning at 6 p.m.

The Lady Pirates, now under the leadership of new head coach Cade Dean, are also searching for their first win of the season. Dean, a 2024 graduate of Oklahoma State University, is eager to make his mark with the program. Like their male counterparts, the Lady Pirates have begun the season 0-2 after defeats to Dale (25 71) and Red Oak (23 65). Last year, the team share d a rema rkable 23-7 overall record.
Friday night’s home opener is a pivotal opportunity for both teams to bounce back and gain momentum as the season heats up. The packed schedule ahead includes notable matchups, such as a Dec. 5 home game against Henryetta and the Savanna Tournament from Dec. 9-14.
