An Okmulgee truck driver for Basey Feed and Grain Company was held up by two unidentified men who robbed him of $55. The incident occurred when the men entered his truck, forced him to drive about 10 miles north on the Beggs highway, and then ordered him to continue driving after reaching a deserted stretch of road. The robbers fired two shots at him as he drove away, but missed. $50 of the stolen amount belonged to the feed company, and $5 was the driver’s money.
