A 37-year-old local man was jailed in connection with threats he allegedly made against an Okmulgee County judge. Jelly Lee Kelly was arrested on a complaint of assault with intent to commit a felony. The Chief of Police said the Okmulgee Police Department was contacted by a local attorney who had received a threat against a local judge. When the judge heard the statements made by the caller, a possible subject was quickly identified. Officers interviewed Jeff Kelly and confirmed he was the caller.
