The Daffodil Garden Club, Okmulgee’s oldest garden club, proudly celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. Founded in 1929 by Mrs. W.A. Allen, the club has been a cornerstone of the community, dedicated to promoting gardening, beautification, and charitable efforts for nearly eight decades.
As part of their ongoing commitment to service, the Daffodil Garden Club recently donated beautiful am- aryllis plants to the ladies of the local Safe House. This thoughtful gesture, aimed at bringing cheer and joy during the Christmas season, exemplifies the club’s tradition of giving back to the community.
The club’s current leadership includes President Vickie Stovall, Vice-President Jeanie Jenkins and Secretary-Treasurer Roberta Barksdale, among other dedicated members who work together to continue the legacy started so many years ago.
As the Daffodil Garden Club celebrates this milestone year, they remain dedicated to continuing their work in making Okmulgee a more beautiful and supportive community. Congratulations to the club on 75 years of blooming success.
