Most counties in Oklahoma saw a decrease in jobless rates during November, according to the latest statistics from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission.
Okmulgee County’s rate increased slightly during the month, up to 3.8% from 3.7% the previous month. Okmulgee County has a labor force of 16,569, with 15,945 currently employed and 624 looking for work.
In November, Haskell County posted Oklahoma’s highest county unemployment rate of 5.0%. Latimer County reported the second-highest rate for the month. Dewey County reported the lowest county unemployment rate of 1.5% in November. Unemployment rates were lower than a year earlier in 65 counties, higher in six counties, and unchanged in six counties.
