In the 7th grade girls’ division, Millie Washington dominated the 100m hurdles with a winning time of 17.74 seconds, while Kambree Cheshier added a point by finishing sixth in the same event (23.86). Washington returned to shine again in the 300m hurdles, securing another first-place finish with a time of 51.67 seconds.
On the distance side, McKenna Morris placed fourth in the 800m (3:14.31), followed by teammates Emree Horsechief (9th, 4:08.01) and Brentley Mcelroy (11th, 4:31.10). Luella Campbell was fourth in the 100m dash (15.07), and Millie Washington again placed high with a fourth-place time of 14.02 in the 8th grade division of the same event.
In the 7th grade girls’ long jump, Emree Horsechief leapt to a fourth-place finish at 11-02.00, while Brentley Mcelroy (10-05.00, 7th) and Beonca Finkbiner (9-10.00, 8th) also placed in the top 10.
In girls’ field events, Emily Sissom placed third in the 8th grade shot put (21-09.00) and also finished seventh in the long jump (11-06.00). Teammates Emree Criner (9th, 18-00.00) and Kora McDonald (10th, 17-11.00) added to Twin Hills’ shot put depth. Sissom also threw 49-10.00 in the discus to earn third, while Criner (11th, 41-03.00) and Mc-Donald (15th, 34-08.00) competed in the same event. In the 7th grade girls’ shot put, Preslee Gilfilan earned third with 21-01.00, followed by Abeni PendergrassOnTheHill (4th, 19-03.00) and Journiee Longan (6th, 17-08.00). Longan later claimed 5th place in discus with a throw of 41-08.00, while Gilfilan placed 8th with 37-06.00.
On the boys’ side, 7th grader Aaron Wilson turned in a solid meet, finishing third in the 110m hurdles (21.75), second in the 400m (1:19.72) and placing in both the 100m (5th, 14.26) and 200m (7th, 30.77). In the 8th grade boys’ hurdles, Coltyn Eller won the 110m with a time of 17.58 and placed 6th in the 200m (27.50). Gunnar Goss took third in the 110m hurdles (18.65), fourth in the 800m (2:45.14) and won the 300m hurdles in 47.70.
Distance runners also added to the scoring. Hayden Bruzinni took first in the girls’ 8th grade 800m (3:01.59) and 1600m (7:02.56), while Bentley Coleman-Parks captured the 7th grade boys’ 800m with a time of 3:12.10.
The Twin Hills boys’ 8th grade team also showed strength in the relays and sprints. Joey Martinez placed 2nd in the 100m (12.54) and 3rd in the 200m (26.75). Dane Bonebrake took 9th in the 100m (13.18), and Angel Estrada was 10th in the 200m (28.60). The 8th grade boys’ 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams both placed 4th.
In field events, Toby Duclose won the 8th grade boys’ shot put with a throw of 38-01.00 and took first in discus at 92-01.00. Teammate Will Carter placed 10th in shot put (27-04.00) and 11th in discus (47-00.00). In the 7th grade boys’ shot put, Micco Campbell placed first with a throw of 29-00.00 and Angel Ramizez added a fourth-place finish at 25-03.50.
Team scoring reflected these strong performances, with Twin Hills finishing 4th in 7th grade boys and girls divisions and the 8th grade boys earning 2nd overall.
