Dear Friends and Neighbors,
The Okmulgee County Humane Society’s new Adoption Center is set to go before the Okmulgee Planning & Zoning Commission at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 11. This is an important step toward our goal of providing a safe and loving environment for more at-risk animals in our community. Following this, on Tuesday, June 18, at 5 p.m., our proposal will be presented to the Okmulgee City Council for their vote. We desperately request their vote of approval to continue our mission of saving more animals.
Your presence and support at these meetings can make a significant difference. We wholeheartedly invite you to attend both sessions and show your support. Together, we can demonstrate to the Okmulgee Planning & Zoning Commission and Okmulgee City Council how much our community values the well-being of our furry friends. With your help, we can move one step closer to overcoming the challenges of pet overpopulation and reducing euthanasia.
We already have a building, and now, with your support and the approval of the necessary authorities, we are eager to move forward with construction. This Adoption Center represents hope and a brighter future for countless animals who deserve a second chance. Let’s come together and make this dream a reality. Thank you for being a part of this compassionate journey with us. Your support is truly appreciated and essential as we work to make a positive impact in our community.
With gratitude and optimism,
Okmulgee County Humane Society
